Live Long and Prosper
Our birthdays are feathers in the broad wing of time – Jean Paul Richter
Celebrating a birthday definitely become one of the things-must-do every year. In this annual event, there’s a profound meaning of gratitude, maturity, and the multiplication of every single good thing in one’s life. Mrs. Lie A Loen has turned 80 this year, and she proudly gathered with the nearest and dearest from family and friends at her birthday celebration held in Grand Ballroom Hotel Mulia. Suryanto Decoration and Lightworks Jakarta supported the event and brought everyone to the wonder of Chinese culture beauty.
The venue was set in such a way that it resemble to China Emperor Palace in the past. Gold and red colors dominated the place, starting from the altar, the door and even the birthday cake. The altar backdrop was purely decorated in gold and a very little red. There was engraving picture of a dragon and a phoenix with a ‘fu’ (happiness) Chinese hieroglyph in the middle.
Gala dinner was appropriated for the event and red roses on the table made a good choice to rise up the appetite. The birthday cake was not ordinary indeed. The grand design made it looked even looked more like wedding cake rather than a birthday cake. If you are imagining flowers attached to the cake, you were half right, but beyond that, they put a gold dragon-like thingy that slither down the cake.
Golden color is associated with good health, enjoyment of life, success and wealth, while dragon symbolizing power and majesty. Those bright colors of shimmered because of the lighting and emitted a glorious ambiance. Perfect combination of those elements turned this celebration into a meaningful event. No wonder in her 80, Mrs. Lie looks splendid and healthy as she is surrounded by many people who love her. Live long and prosper Mrs. Lie!
